There is an advantage to 3D renderings for landscape architecture plans.

Imagine this scenario.  You are almost finished your design, and you've already beatifully drawn it out and hand coloured it for your upcomming presentation.  You meet with the architectural clients before the meeting to realise that design changes necessitate changes to your landscape plan.  The best case scenerio is that you get out the tracing paper and redraw your sections to integrate later in your final design.

3D rendering offeres a faster soloution, and when the architects are on board with the same rendering artist both parties can see their work completed together in the same images, offering a much more complete view of the final design to your clients.

With 3D image creation the work flow is much more iterative than hand drawing.  Things are easily moved and redrawn and replaced in 3D software making for a faster and easier iteration time.

This fun little project was completed with the landscape architect.  The clients for the daycare play ground wanted a play area that would reflect the natural surrounding that BC Canada has to offer.  This series of images were created to illustrate the new park design to the clients.
